Choose names you can recognize
Use a consistent field name that makes sense in your operation. The crop, season, and manually entered acreage help distinguish records. The registry is a working reference, not a cadastral survey, ownership record, or verified boundary dataset.
Keep context in the field record
Add the recurring information you need when planning the next visit. Keep short-lived observations and actions in the action queue. Avoid storing access codes, credentials, personal details, or regulated records in general notes.
Update without losing the links
Editing a field updates the name and crop shown on its linked actions. To remove a field, first remove or reassign those actions. The current application enforces this sequence to avoid quietly deleting a field’s action history when only its registry entry was intended to be removed.
